PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To discriminate, using a simple configuration, a collision position on a front bumper and improve accuracy of discriminating the collision with a person in accordance with the discriminated collision position.SOLUTION: In accordance with a signal based on a change in vehicular acceleration output from G sensors 106A and 106B disposed on more outside, in a vehicle width direction, than a position corresponding to a front-side member 16 on a back surface of a bumper cover 34, an ECU 30 discriminates a collision position on a front bumper 12. Further, in accordance with a signal based on a change in pressure internal to a pressure tube 104 output from pressure sensors 28A and 28B that are individually disposed on the pressure tube 104 disposed in the vehicle width direction on a front surface of a bumper R/F 14, the ECU 30 discriminates the presence or absence of a collision with a person.

    【課題】簡素な構造により、フロントバンパにおける衝突位置を判別すると共に、判別した衝突位置に応じて対人衝突を精度よく判別する。【解決手段】ECU30は、バンパカバー34の裏面のフロントサイドメンバ16に対応する位置よりも車両幅方向の外側に設けられたGセンサ106A,106Bが出力した車両の加速度の変化に基づいた信号に基づいてフロントバンパ12における衝突位置を判別する。また、ECU30は、バンパR/F14の前面に車両幅方向に沿って配設された圧力チューブ104に各々設けられた圧力センサ28A,28Bが出力した圧力チューブ104の内部の圧力変化に基づく信号に基づいて対人衝突の有無を判別する。【選択図】図1
