To detect a collision with a pedestrian precisely.SOLUTION: In a pedestrian collision detection device 10, an upper rib 32 and a lower rib 34 extend intermittently in a lateral direction on a front surface 30C of an absorber 30 and a pressure tube 42 is provided between the upper rib 32 and the lower rib 34. The support plate 51 covers the front surface of the absorber 30 from the front side with the upper rib 32 and the lower rib 34 inserted through insertion holes 51A of the support plate 51 in a support cover 50. Further, the support plate 51 supports the pressure tube 42 from the rear side, and a rear flange 54 and a rear flange 55 forming a rear end of the support cover 50 are disposed adjacent to the front side of the bumper beam 20. Thus, the structure allows a reaction force from the support plate 51 to the pressure tube 42 to act effectively during a frontal collision between a pedestrian and a vehicle V.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】歩行者との衝突を良好に検出する。【解決手段】歩行者衝突検知装置10では、アブソーバ30の前面30Cに上側リブ32及び下側リブ34が左右方向に断続的に延在されており、上側リブ32と下側リブ34との間に圧力チューブ42が設けられている。ここで、上側リブ32及び下側リブ34が、支持カバー50における支持プレート51の挿通孔51Aを挿通して、支持プレート51がアブソーバ30の前面を前側から覆っている。また、支持プレート51が圧力チューブ42を後側から支持しており、支持カバー50の後端部を構成するリヤフランジ54及びリヤフランジ55が、バンパビーム20の前側に隣接配置されている。このため、歩行者と車両Vとの前面衝突時に、支持プレート51から圧力チューブ42への反力を効果的に作用させることができる。【選択図】図2
