PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To discriminate a collision position on a front bumper and accurately discriminate a collision against a person in response to the discriminated collision position with a simple structure.SOLUTION: An ECU 30 compares accelerations calculated based on signals output from a central G sensor 106 provided at a center in a vehicle width direction on a rear surface of a bumper cover 34 and a left G sensor 106A and a right G sensor 106B provided outward of positions corresponding to front side members 16 in the vehicle width direction, respectively, thereby discriminating a collision position on a front bumper 12. Furthermore, the ECU 30 discriminates a collision against a person on the basis of signals output from pressure sensors 28A and 28B provided on a pressure tube 104 disposed on a front surface of a bumper R/F14 along the vehicle width direction and based on an internal pressure change of the pressure tube 104.

    【課題】簡素な構造により、フロントバンパにおける衝突位置を判別すると共に、判別した衝突位置に応じて対人衝突を精度よく判別する。【解決手段】ECU30は、バンパカバー34の裏面の、車両幅方向の中央に設けられた中央Gセンサ106C並びにフロントサイドメンバ16に対応する位置よりも車両幅方向の外側に設けられた左Gセンサ106A及び右Gセンサ106Bが各々出力した信号に基づいて各々算出された加速度を比較することによりフロントバンパ12における衝突位置を判別する。また、ECU30は、バンパR/F14の前面に車両幅方向に沿って配設された圧力チューブ104に各々設けられた圧力センサ28A,28Bが出力した圧力チューブ104の内部の圧力変化に基づく信号に基づいて対人衝突の有無を判別する。【選択図】図1
