PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrically-driven brake of a vehicle including a parking brake mechanism capable of surely maintaining a meshed state where a ratchet gear and a pawl member are meshed, and surely determining whether the ratchet gear and the pawl member are appropriately meshed or not.SOLUTION: An operation start processing of an electrically-driven brake of a vehicle comprises the steps of: increasing amount of electric power supply Imt (t1-t2) to the electric motor to increase pressing force Fba; energizing a solenoid (FLs:0→1) so that a pawl member and a ratchet gear are meshed while Imt is maintained after Fba reaches a prescribed value fb1 (t3); decreasing Imt to be zero while energization of the solenoid is maintained thereafter (t4); and stopping the energization of the solenoid (FLs:1→0) when a displacement Hm1 of a rotation angle Mka of the electric motor from the value mk1 at the start time (t4) of Imt decreasing is continuously less than a prescribed value hm1 (t6) from the start time (t4) of Imt decreasing till a prescribed period (tx3).

    【課題】駐車ブレーキ機構を備える車両の電動制動装置であって、ラチェット歯車とつめ部材とが咬み合う状態が確実に維持可能であり、且つ、ラチェット歯車とつめ部材とが適正に咬み合わされたか否かを確実に判定し得るものを提供すること。【解決手段】先ず、押圧力Fbaの増加のため、電気モータの通電量Imtを増加する(t1〜t2)。Fbaが所定値fb1に達した後(t3)、Imtが維持された状態で、つめ部材がラチェット歯車に咬み合うようにソレノイドに通電する(FLs:0→1)。その後(t4)、ソレノイドへの通電が継続された状態で、Imtをゼロに向けて減少する。Imt減少開始時点(t4)からの所定期間(tx3)に亘って、電気モータの回転角Mkaの「Imt減少開始時点(t4)での値mk1からの変位Hm1」が所定値hm1未満である状態が継続したとき(t6)、ソレノイドへの通電を停止する(FLs:1→0)。【選択図】図8
