PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably brake a vehicle even if an electrically-driven type brake becomes defective.SOLUTION: An electrically-driven type brake system includes: electrically-driven brakes 3 which provide brake force by brake operation by an operator and are provided on at least two wheels comprising left and right wheels of a vehicle 1; hydraulic brakes 4 each which provide brake force instead of their respective electrically-driven brakes 3 when the electrically-driven brakes 3 become defective, and which are built in wheels 2 on which the electrically-driven brakes 3 are provided, together with the electrically-driven brakes 3; and a control apparatus 12 which brings the hydraulic brake 4 into an operable state when the electrically-driven brake becomes defective. The vehicle 1 can be safely braked by operating the hydraulic brake 4 when the electrically-driven brake 3 becomes defective.

    【課題】電動式ブレーキが失陥した場合でも、確実に車両を制動すること。【解決手段】運転者のブレーキ操作によって制動力を発揮する、車両1の少なくとも左右二輪に設けられた電動式ブレーキ3と、前記電動式ブレーキ3の失陥時に、この電動式ブレーキ3の代わりに制動力を発揮する油圧式ブレーキ4と、前記油圧式ブレーキ4は、前記電動式ブレーキ3を設けた車輪2に、前記電動式ブレーキ3と共に内蔵され、前記失陥時に、前記油圧式ブレーキ4を作動可能な状態とする制御装置12と、を有する電動式ブレーキシステムを構成する。電動式ブレーキ3の失陥時に、油圧式ブレーキ4を作動させることにより、車両1を安全に制動することができる。【選択図】図1
