The invention provides a control method and system for an accelerator pedal mistaken stepping prevention device, and the control method comprises the steps that driving state information is obtained; according to the driving state information, whether accelerator pedal mistaken stepping prevention equipment is started or closed or not is judged; when it is determined that the accelerator pedal mistakenly-stepping-preventing equipment is started, a first control instruction is sent to a transmission structure in the accelerator pedal mistakenly-stepping-preventing equipment, so that the transmission structure drives a limiting plate to move from the first position to the second position according to the first control instruction; and when it is determined that the accelerator pedal mistaken stepping prevention equipment is closed, a second control instruction is sent to the transmission structure, so that the transmission structure drives the limiting plate to move from the second position to the first position according to the second control instruction. When a vehicle needs to be braked and decelerated in an emergency, the accelerator pedal mistakenly stepping prevention device is started, the stepping resistance of the accelerator pedal is increased, and the situation that the vehicle is suddenly accelerated due to the fact that a driver mistakenly steps on the accelerator pedal is avoided.
