The automatic parking system comprises an ultrasonic driving module, a sensing module and a regulation and control module, and the ultrasonic driving module is in communication connection with the sensing module through a first communication link and is in communication connection with the regulation and control module through a second communication link; the ultrasonic driving module is also used for sending the ultrasonic original echo information to the sensing module through the first communication link and sending the ultrasonic alarm information to the regulation and control module through the second communication link; the sensing module is used for detecting obstacles and parking spaces according to the received ultrasonic original echo information to obtain a first detection result; and the regulation and control module is used for controlling the vehicle to be automatically parked according to the first detection result and/or the ultrasonic alarm information. According to the scheme, the requirement for the safety level of the sensing module is lowered through the sensing double-link design, and the high-level function safety requirement is met while automatic parking is achieved.
