The invention provides a configuration system and method for a power distributed electric locomotive, and the system comprises an operation and display module which is used for transmitting the vehicle data of the power distributed electric locomotive to a central control module; the sensor is used for measuring the weight of the slag car and the real-time inclination angle value of the power distributed electric locomotive; the data acquisition module is used for acquiring the weight and the real-time inclination angle value of the slag car; and the central control module is used for determining the number of power muck trucks needing to be input and the number of driving mechanisms of the power muck trucks needing to be input based on vehicle data, the weight of the muck trucks and the real-time inclination angle value, and configuring the power distributed electric locomotive based on the number of the power muck trucks and the number of the driving mechanisms of the power muck trucks. According to the technical scheme, the number of the power muck trucks needing to be input and the number of the driving mechanisms of the power muck trucks needing to be input in the current construction environment can be rapidly and accurately calculated, and meanwhile flexible marshalling can be conducted based on the number of the power muck trucks needing to be input.
