The invention relates to the technical field of battery pack detection, and discloses a battery pack external thermal runaway detection device which comprises a battery shell, a battery body is arranged in the battery shell, the battery pack external thermal runaway detection device further comprises a mounting frame used for mounting the battery shell, a hanging unit is arranged in the mounting frame, a bearing plate is hung in the mounting frame through the hanging unit, and the bearing plate is connected with the battery shell. A sealed mounting frame is arranged on the bearing plate, and a first cover plate is mounted on the mounting frame in a sealed mode. By arranging the pressure detection module, the battery body can swell in the early stage of thermal runaway, meanwhile, the battery shell can be extruded to deform, when the battery shell deforms, the battery shell can extrude the elastic anti-shaking frames, the multiple anti-shaking frames are extruded at the same time, the liquid level of cooling liquid in the mounting frame can rise, and the battery body can be prevented from being damaged. After the liquid level of the cooling liquid rises, the pressure at the upper part in the mounting frame is changed, and the change is found in the early stage of thermal runaway and is timely pre-warned through a control system, so that the safety coefficient of the battery body during use is further improved.

    本发明涉及电池包探测技术领域,且公开了一种电池包外置式热失控探测装置,包括电池外壳,所述电池外壳内设有电池本体,还包括用于安装电池外壳的安装框,所述安装框内设有悬挂单元,所述安装框内通过悬挂单元悬挂有承载板,所述承载板上设有密封的安装架,所述安装架上密封安装有第一盖板。本发明中通过设置压力检测模块,电池本体热失控前期会发生鼓包,同时会挤压电池外壳发生形变,当电池外壳发生形变时,电池外壳会挤压具有弹性的防晃架,多个防晃架受到同时挤压,安装架内的冷却液液面会上升,冷却液液面上升后会造成安装架内上部压力产生变化,在热失控前期发现并及时通过控制系统预警,进一步提高电池本体使用时的安全系数。
