The invention relates to the field of hoisting machinery, in particular to a single-hydraulic-cylinder-driven steel grabbing machine which comprises a rack, a quick-change connector, a rotary driving device, a connecting rod sliding block mechanism and a grab bucket. The top end of the rack is connected with the bottom end of a quick-change connector through a rotary driving device; the interior of the rack is connected with a connecting rod sliding block mechanism through a hydraulic cylinder and a sliding pair. The connecting rod sliding block mechanism is connected with the grab bucket which is hinged to the bottom end of the machine frame. And the five grab buckets are uniformly distributed at the bottom end of the rack. The connecting rod sliding block mechanism comprises a hydraulic cylinder, a sliding block and a connecting rod; one end of the hydraulic cylinder is fixedly connected with the rack, and the other end of the hydraulic cylinder is fixedly connected with the sliding block; two ends of the connecting rod are respectively hinged with the slide block and the grab bucket through revolute pairs; the connecting rod sliding block mechanism can drive the grab bucket to rotate relative to the rack. According to the steel grabbing machine driven by the single hydraulic cylinder, the single hydraulic cylinder drives the connecting rod sliding block mechanism to achieve synchronous opening and closing of the grab bucket, a hydraulic loop is simplified, and the grabbing efficiency of the grab bucket is improved.
