The invention belongs to the technical field of mileage measurement, and provides a remaining mileage accuracy evaluation method and system, and the method comprises the steps: collecting mileage parameters in a real driving process; for each complete driving process, the collected mileage parameters comprise the total mileage and the remaining mileage of an instrument; calculating available mileage in the total mileage according to the total mileage, wherein the available mileage in the total mileage is equivalently reduced along with the increase of the total mileage; calculating available mileage in the remaining mileage of the instrument according to the remaining mileage of the instrument, wherein the available mileage in the remaining mileage of the instrument is equivalently reduced along with reduction of the remaining mileage of the instrument; and calculating the residual mileage accuracy of each complete driving process by taking a calculation formula capable of reflecting the closeness degree of the change degree of the residual mileage of the instrument and the change degree of the total mileage as a calculation formula of the residual mileage accuracy. The method does not need to input a specified driving condition on a test bench for testing, and overcomes the defect of insufficient residual mileage accuracy caused by the difference between a test condition and a real condition.
