A method for predicting behavior of a dynamic object of interest in an environment (100) of a vehicle (105) is disclosed. Time-series feature data is received, the time-series feature data representing features of objects in the environment (100), the objects including dynamic objects of interest. The feature data is classified into one of a plurality of defined object categories. Each classification data set is encoded into a respective classification representation representing a temporal variation in a feature in a respective defined object category. The classified representations are combined into a single shared representation. A classification interaction representation is generated based on the single shared representation that represents an effect of a temporal variation in each defined object category on a final time step of the shared representation. The classified interactive representation is used together with data representative of dynamics of the object in the environment (100) and data representative of a state of the vehicle (105) to generate predicted data representative of predicted future behavior of the dynamic object of interest. A system for predicting behavior of the dynamic object of interest in the environment of the vehicle is also disclosed.
