The invention relates to path planning for a vehicle based on accident intensity. Specifically, the invention relates to a method for determining a path of a vehicle. The method includes obtaining an accident intensity for each of a plurality of road portions of an estimated route on which the vehicle is to travel. The method further includes determining a path of the vehicle along the estimated route based on the acquired accident intensity under a set of constraints. The set of constraints includes at least one of a route risk constraint and a route travel time constraint of a path along the estimated route, and the determined path includes a speed profile along the estimated route. The invention also relates to a corresponding computer readable storage medium, a device and a vehicle comprising such a device.
