The invention provides an electric vehicle braking optimization system and method based on braking energy recovery. The electric vehicle braking optimization system comprises an electric braking system, a hydraulic braking system, a data acquisition system and a braking operation system. The signal output end of the data acquisition system is connected to the electric braking system and the hydraulic braking system; the electric braking system comprises a whole vehicle domain controller, a motor controller and a driving motor. S2, motor single braking is executed; and S3, motor-hydraulic composite braking is executed. The hydraulic braking system and the motor braking system which are relatively independent are fully coupled through the chassis domain controller, the magnitude distribution and adjustment of hydraulic braking force and motor braking force are adjusted through the ABS/EBD system and the whole vehicle controller, motor braking is fully utilized, and energy recovery is optimized.
