Mechanisms for AD or at least ADAS assisted maneuvers of a vehicle are provided. The method includes selecting between using a CRLS-based positioning system and a GNSS-based positioning system for assisting maneuvering of the vehicle. The selection of which positioning system is based on comparing the first error determined for the CRLS-based positioning system with the second error determined for the GNSS-based positioning system. A positioning system with a minimum error is selected. The method includes assisting maneuvering of the vehicle using the selected positioning system. The maneuver involves reversing of the vehicle.
