The forking robot comprises a vehicle body, a horizontal moving orientation piece, a workbench, a horizontal power piece, a longitudinal moving orientation piece, a fork arm assembly, a longitudinal power piece, two active driving wheel sets, two driven wheel sets, a first sensor, a third sensor and a control system; the horizontal moving orientation piece is installed in the middle of the vehicle body, the workbench is installed on the horizontal moving orientation piece, the horizontal power piece is installed on the vehicle body, and an output end of the horizontal power piece is connected with the workbench; the fork arm assembly comprises a fork arm installation frame and two fork arms, the longitudinal moving orientation piece is installed on the workbench, the fork arm installation frame is installed on the longitudinal moving orientation piece, the longitudinal power piece is installed on the workbench, and an output end of the longitudinal power piece is connected with the fork arm installation frame; and the first sensor is a camera, the third sensor is a video camera, and image signals of the first sensor and the third sensor are transmitted to an industrial personal computer through the control system. The robot has the advantages of high positioning precision, high working efficiency and the like.
