The invention relates to a traffic volume investigation method and device based on a video. The traffic volume investigation method based on the video comprises the steps of A collecting a video shot by a road monitoring camera and an image shot by a road high-definition camera; B performing vehicle detection on the acquired road video and high-definition image; C tracking a detected vehicle; D identifying the type of the detected vehicle; and E calculating the speed of the tracked vehicle when the tracked vehicle passes through a specific area. According to the traffic volume investigation method based on the video, a monitoring probe arranged at a road gate is used for collecting the road data and processing the road data, and the identified vehicle category, vehicle speed information and traffic flow information are recorded into a database, so that the traffic volume information can be analyzed and counted in real time, and automatic detection and intelligent management of road traffic can be realized.

    本发明涉及一种基于视频的交通量调查方法和装置,所述基于视频的交通量调查方法包括:步骤A:采集道路监控摄像头所拍摄的视频以及道路高清照相机所拍摄图像;步骤B:对采集得到的道路视频和高清图像进行车辆检测;步骤C:跟踪被检测出的车辆;步骤D:识别被检测出的车辆所属类型;步骤E:计算被跟踪的车辆在通过特定区域时的车速。本发明所述的基于视频的交通量调查方法通过在道路卡口处设置的监控探头采集道路数据,并对道路数据进行处理,将识别得到的车辆类别、车速信息及车流量信息记入数据库,能够实时的分析统计交通量信息,有利于实现道路交通自动化检测和智能化管理。
