PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traffic volume measurement device that can obtain a degree of saturation at an inflow passage in an intersection and reduce time and cost spent for maintenance.SOLUTION: In an image input part 3, a photographic image of an intersection where a signal light is installed is input. Vehicle tracking parts 411 and 421 process the photographic image input in the image input part 3 and tracks a vehicle traveling in the intersection. According to the vehicle tracking result from the vehicle tracking parts 411 and 421, passing vehicle number obtaining parts 412 and 422 obtain the number of vehicles passing the intersection for each inflow passage of the vehicle into the intersection, and vehicle speed obtaining parts 413 and 423 obtain a representative value of speed of the vehicle passing the intersection. A DS estimating parts 414 and 424 estimate a DS for each inflow passage of the vehicle into the intersection, using representative values of the number and speed of the vehicle passing the intersection.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4

    【課題】交差点の流入路の飽和度を得ることができ、保守管理にかかる手間やコストが抑えられる。【解決手段】画像入力部3には、信号灯器が設置された交差点内を撮像した撮像画像が入力される。車両追跡部411、421は、画像入力部3に入力された撮像画像を処理し、交差点内を走行する車両を追跡する。車両追跡部411、421における車両の追跡結果に基づき、交差点への車両の流入路別に、通過台数取得部412、422が交差点を通過した車両の台数を取得するとともに、車両速度取得部413、423が交差点を通過した車両の速度の代表値を取得する。そして、DS推定部414、424が、交差点への車両の流入路別に、交差点を通過した車両の台数、および車両の速度の代表値を用いてDSを推定する。【選択図】図4
