The embodiment of the invention discloses a power battery thermal runaway prediction method and device, relates to the technical field of batteries, and mainly aims to predict the risk of thermal runaway of a power battery in advance before thermal runaway of the power battery occurs. According to the main technical scheme, the method comprises the following steps of determining a current state parameter of a power battery; and judging whether the power battery has the risk of thermal runaway or not according to the current state parameter under the current internal temperature and the current cycle life of the power battery.
