The robot comprises a robot body, a control box and a control cable. The robot body is arranged in a culvert withtop-fill for detection, the control box is arranged on the ground, and the robot body is connected with the control box through a control cable; the robot body is in a long strip shape and comprisesan upper shell and a walking mechanism, and the upper shell is fixedly connected with the walking mechanism. The crawling robot is provided with a front camera, a rear camera and a lamplight, so thatthe situation around the crawling robot can be clearly seen without a light source and is imaged to an operator to form a video is formed. A sonar and a three-dimensional scanner are arranged, so thatan operator can conveniently detect and observe the internal condition of the culvert with top-fill. Risks and cost of inspection of operators are reduced, accuracy of the culvert with top-fill detection is improved, detection for a culvert with top-fill is more convenient and accurate, and human error information is avoided.
