The invention discloses a crawler-type steel wall surface climbing robot, which comprises a shell, adsorption walking devices and a power supply control device, wherein a main frame is arranged in theshell, and a secondary frame is longitudinally and fixedly connected to the middle of the main frame; the two sets of adsorption walking devices are arranged on the two sides of the auxiliary frame correspondingly; the adsorption walking device comprises a worm and gear motor, a rotary positioning plate, an adsorption walking shell, a magnetic chain transmission mechanism and a chain inner supporting mechanism, the rotary positioning plate is rotationally connected between the main frame and the first positioning frame, and the worm and gear motor is connected into the rotary positioning plate; the adsorption walking shell comprises two sets of first tensioning adjusting plate assemblies, and a first main transmission gear assembly and a second auxiliary transmission gear assembly are connected between the two sets of first tensioning adjusting plate assemblies; and the magnetic chain transmission mechanism is connected to the outer ends of the first main transmission gear assembly and the second auxiliary transmission gear assembly in a sleeving mode. The robot can automatically adapt to steel wall surfaces with different curvature radiuses, and is good in walking stability.
