The invention discloses a climbing robot, comprising two climbing units configured up and down and a plurality of lifting mechanisms arranged between the two climbing units. The lifting mechanisms are used for driving the two climbing units to move alternatively along an object on which the robot climbs, and thus the robot climbs. The climbing robot has higher bearing ability through designing the annular climbing units, and can climbs trees by bearing personnel and equipment, so that researchers can conveniently conduct researches on the growth status of trees.
