The invention discloses a crawler-type drive mechanism of an automatic welding machine for an inner circumferential seam of a pipeline. The crawler-type drive mechanism is characterized in that two ends of an air cylinder are respectively connected with a wheel set support through an air cylinder pin shaft, a driving wheel, a driving wheel chain wheel and a driven wheel are arranged at the inner side of the wheel set support, a crawler belt sleeves the driving wheel and the driven wheel, the driving wheel and the driving wheel chain wheel are connected with the wheel set support through a driving wheel central shaft, and the driven wheel is connected with the wheel set support through a driven wheel central shaft; a pneumatic motor is arranged at the outer side of the wheel set support, and the motor chain wheel is connected with the driving wheel chain wheel through a chain; the outer side of the wheel set support is also provided with wheel set rotating support which is connected with the wheel set support through a wheel set rotating pin shaft. By adopting the crawler-type drive mechanism, the friction effect of a wheel set can be effectively improved, and the climbing capacity of the automatic pipeline circumferential seam welding machine can be improved to more than 20 degrees.
