PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: an elastic crawler with the durability of an engaging part improved while suppressing interference of a pin member with the engaging part; and an elastic crawler drive mechanism.SOLUTION: This invention is an elastic crawler having a plurality of engaging parts 14 respectively capable of being engaged with a plurality of pin members 22 circumferentially arranged with intervals in the circumferential direction of a sprocket on the inner peripheral side. The engaging part 14 has a pressure receiving face 14a that receives the pin member 22, where the pressure receiving face 14a is coaxial with the center axis of a virtual body of rotation with a roll diameter Dstipulated by the following expression (1) in contour shape from a side view and is shaped from an envelope Lthe outer edge of the pin member 22 depicts when the sprocket rolls with the virtual body of rotation over a plane.
