The invention discloses a vehicle superelevation and super-width monitoring method based on laser ranging. According to the invention, an LMS two-dimensional laser ranging sensor is adopted to perform high-speed dynamic scanning on a vehicle outline under the control of a novel high-performance microprocessor and performs analysis and process on received real-time data so as to realize width and height detection of an advancing vehicle and ultralimit sound-light alarm. According to the invention, the method is simple, the cost is lower, the measurement accuracy is high, the width and height of a vehicle can be accurately calculated through laser, and automatic and intelligent management of vehicle superelevation and super-width management operation are effectively realized.
