The bionic kangaroo robot comprises a robot body, a power transmission device, two leg mechanism, a tail balancing mechanism and a control system; the power transmission device conveys or cut off power by controlling a clutch to open and close; when the clutch is closed, a reduction gear set drives a hip joint and thighs to anticlockwise rotate, and the leg mechanisms retract to store energy; the energy storage degree can be detected through a potentiometer; the clutch is separated when the requirement is met, the force transmitted by the reduction gear set to the hip joint shaft is cut off, and the leg mechanisms quickly expand to jump; the tail balancing mechanism is independent from the power transmission device; the motor drives a tail to swing up and down, so that the posture of the robot can be adjusted in the whole process, and the jumping angle can also be adjusted; the control system comprises a main control module, a posture acquiring module, a clutch control module, an energy storage degree detecting control module and a tail posture detecting control module. According to the bionic kangaroo robot, the energy storage degree can be controlled, the posture can be adjusted in the whole process, the jumping angle can be adjusted, and therefore, the controllability of the robot is improved.
