Study of principles of guidance and control theory is used for structuring analytical model that describes driver's steering control of motor vehicles; model has as its elements vehicle equations of motion, experimentally derived models for human operator's dynamic response characteristics, and descriptions of roadway environment; variety of singleloop and multiloop feedback systems are synthesized and examined to select three simple and likely alternative system configurations.
