Over the past two decades, there has been a hot‐headed growth in wireless and mobile technologies. MANETs is a specialization in the field of computer networks which has garnered a lot of attention and has therefore become one of the wildest developing areas of research and this technology can be extensively exploited for many on‐demand real time applications. In this chapter, a hybrid mechanism wherein the PAM and the power aware mechanism have been incorporated into the existing MANET protocols and the impact of this hybrid mechanism on the quality of service parameters have been investigated. Simulations had been carried out with 100 nodes where five different data streams were started at random times. This PAM was added to the AODV, AOMDV, DSDV, DSR and DYMO protocols and the QoS parameters of the MANETs are studied.
