A mobilty model for a military operation needs to consider the characteristics that distinguishes a military operation from other mobile applications. A military mobility model is presented in this paper and used in a MANET simulation experiment. The simulation results show better network connectivity when using the military mobility model compared to a conventional mobility model. This result indicates that the designer of military MANETs can expect better performance than a MANET used in other application areas, due to hierarchical properties of military operations.
