The paper deals with design rules of microcomputer interlocking. The duplex microcomputer structure with analysis of quality measures corresponding to relay fail-safe criteria is presented as an example of such design. Presented system has been tested in laboratory with typical information relays and driving modules for external devices. The program of experiments assures all types of failures including the dispatcher faults. The failure rates are modelled with regard to cataloque data. Till now the system is real fail-safe. Afterrequired testing time it will be implemented in small railway station.
