The paper considers the tasks of creating universal instruments of mathematical simulation, scaling instruments of experimental adjustment, and universal testing equipment for the future technology of power supply systems (PSS) of autonomous objects. Impedance is a major characteristic of autonomous PSS. The EMF of an equivalent generator and impedance, completely determine the behavior of a system at any external disturbances on the part of consumers. A complex of technical instruments has been created that is used to measure frequency characteristics, which serve as the basis for the construction of linearized equivalent circuits using methods of synthesizing electric circuits. The measuring complex generates frequencies between 1 Hz and 100 kHz with sinusoidal waves and measures the voltages and currents as a reaction of the load including the distribution cable. Expressions for the equivalent impedance of the circuit are given. The obtained value of impedance is one of the main parameters that characterizes the quality of electric energy for consumers connected to the output terminals of a PSS. Various circuits for connecting the complex with the object under investigation are discussed, considering possible nonlinearities and inaccuracies and ways to reduce measuring errors.
