The present paper proposes a steering reactive torque presentation method for an active four-wheel steering vehicle. The reactive torque is derived from a pseudo steering reactive torgue around a king pin axis, which is defined by a feedback of a lateral acceleration at a center of percussion with respect to rear wheels. A driver who drives the vehicle on a low friction road can notice an unstable vehicle state because the reactive torque decreases. Driving simulator experiments were conducted in order to verify that the proposed steering reactive torque presentation method enables them to perceive the vehicle state more effectively than the conventional method whose steering reactive torque is in proportion to the driver's steering wheel input.
