The E220, USB, P05 steel sheets were studied for drawability using the Hill apparatus. A high deformability of improved strength sheets depended on the working radius of the die. The stamping force was 4 times multiplied when the die radius decreased from 10 mm down to 1.5 mm. At the die radius of 4 mm, a deformation degree of 0.531 was achieved for the E220 and USB steels. Pressure welded sheets revealed also a good drawability, provided that correct quality of the welds was ensured. The steel sheets were found suitable for making car bodies with extended deformations.
