Demonstration satellite navigation system is under review by air staff as intermediate step toward future capability. the new proposal is conducted by samso (Space and missile systems organisation). Samso is working with loran systems project office at electronic systems div. To insure satisfactory interfacing with new loran receivers (Development by itt and lear siegler) worldwide navigation satellite system would consist of 4 clousters of 5 satellites each, would permit aircraft, ship or ground users to determine position any time of day under any weather conditions.
