The IGF-Code requires that the risk shall be equivalent to the risk of conventional oil fuelled ships (IMO, IGF-code: international code of safety for ships using gases or other low-flashpoint fuels. IMO, London, 2016, [1], Sect. 3.2.1). The problem here is that an accepted quantification of the risk for conventional ships does not exist.
