The Compact Disc is a compact digital information carrier suitable for use with digital audio systems in cars. By proper design and choice of materials the player mechanism can be made to withstand the shocks and vibrations and climatic severities involved. For easy disc handling a tray loading system is proposed. A dynamics compression circuit will be incorporated. A position memory will enable the disc scanning servo system to retrieve the last position, if ever this is lost.
