This paper describes the anti-vibration characteristics of a Compact Disc player developed exclusively for automotive applications. An analysis of the vibration seen in an automobile is the first step in the design. The electronic design parameters addressed include the focus and tracking servo loops. The mechanical description includes an explanation of the suspension system.
