The report presents results obtained from the study of collected data and regression analyses which were performed to relate the various factors to each other. These included stud type, stud protrusion, speed, air temperature, pavement temperature, environmental conditions, stud hardness, and tire tread depth. Average wear rates were calculated for different types of pavements and the overlays caused by the different stud types. A formula was developed which can be used to calculate pavement life under certain conditions.
