The purpose of the project is to re-construct 20th Street in Tifton, Georgia, from a 24 ft. surface treatment to 48 ft. curb to curb urban type section which will relieve congestion on the existing facility. A short section will also be on new location to carry traffic from Baldwin Drive (which will pick up traffic from ABAC College and Experiment Station) to SR 7. This route has a future traffic count of 3400 vehicles per day. The project is not in conflict with any national parks, public recreational areas, national monuments, historical sites or anything which might be classified as 4 (f) type lands. No adverse environmental effects will be caused by the construction of this project.
