Gemini/Titan flight number one (GT-1) is an unmanned orbital flight, and is the first in a series of twelve planned flights to develop the capability for long duration and rendezvous missions. The GT-1 mission is basically a flight test to qualify the space vehicle in the launch environment. The GT-1 spacecraft being hoisted to the top of the gantry for mating to the Titan II launch vehicle at Cape Kennedy is shown.
