A sample of the population and local politicians in Oslo have been interviewed about their attitudes towards car and public transport. The two groups agree on positive statements towards travelling by public transport. The population are more positive towards use of car than the politicians. Many politicians have a misconceptual of the population's attitudes. They believe people are more positive towards use of car and less positive towards travelling by public transport than they in fact are.
