Four intersection design types are presented in this paper to provide better traffic engineering tools to the highway designer. Physical features, signing and collision diagrams, coupled with AADT and 30th peak hour volumes and travel time equations and accident experience, are presented. Future plans provide for an additional twenty sites to be studied for more comprehensive graphical travel time predictions as well as more exhaustive accident exposure relationships.
