New concept in intersection design for major highways is presented and use of progressive traffic signals proposed to eliminate grade separations; intersection of two crossroads named "switch point" design in which vehicles do not stop or deviate from their normal speed without use of bridges; design involves use of alternate roads which are located in such manner that by alternating from one to other at specified times there will be no conflicts between streams of traffic.
