The project sought to survey, evaluate, and inventory the driver training programs of local transit providers in the state of California. The primary objectives of the project were to assemble a driver training resource catalog, provide recommendations for its use, and to note additional driver training needs identified in the process. The final resource catalog lists 313 driver training resources indexed by topic, description and property location. Recommendation for the efficient use of the catalog center on its usefulness in locating program content resources. Areas of additional study and needs analysis, include training objectives and standards, evaluation techniques, training methodologies, program structure, motivation and timing, remedial and ongoing training, and approaches for non-training related performance problems.
