The objective of the study was to obtain information on current and desired traffic safety related programs for high schools. A survey was sent to all high schools. Information was obtained from 189 of 432 schools. Current activity in the area of traffic safety was summarized. The activity with the most participation was Red Ribbon Week. The activities which were rated the most effective were Project Graduation and driver's education. A summary of current activities used as highway safety programs in high schools in Kentucky, along with contact names, organizations, and telephone numbers, are given in the appendices.
