Autonomous vehicles may use diferent technologies to localize themselves and detect obstacles on the road, like Lidars, radars and cameras. This work develops a catadioptric ominidirecional system with a hyperbolic profile mirror, so that a 360° field of vision around the vehicle is obtained using only one camera. This system is used to detect objects around a vehicle, obtaining satisfactory results.
