The high-speed low-attitude region in the flight envelope of wing-in-ground crafts increases the risk of crash accidents. To enhance flight safety during flight near the ground or sea surface, a flight envelope protection method is proposed in this paper. In this method, a command limiting protection strategy is adopted for bank angle protection. A PID controller and an exponential potential function method are involved as command limiting approaches. Simulation results reflect the characteristics of different control methods while verifying the effectiveness of the protection system.
