Each of the brake mechanisms of the at least two motor train units has a plurality of brake units. In order to obtain a flexible utilization of the brake mechanism capacities of the coupled motor train units, a brake effect management system is formed in the coupled state. The management system is of a higher order than the brake mechanisms and is connected thereto. The management system is configured to distribute a braking effect onto the brake units of the at least two motor train units.
