A battery SOC estimation device, according to one embodiment of the present invention, includes: a measuring unit configured to measure a voltage of a battery; a discharging unit configured to discharge the battery for a predetermined period of time; and a control unit configured to estimate a SOC value of the battery based on a first voltage of the battery measured at a time when a battery management system (BMS) corresponding to the battery is turned on, and a direct current internal resistance (DCIR) of the battery obtained during a discharging process of the battery.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 배터리 SOC 추정 장치는 배터리의 전압을 측정하도록 구성된 측정부; 소정의 시간 동안 상기 배터리를 방전시키는 방전부; 및 상기 배터리에 대응되는 BMS(Battery Management System)가 턴 온된 시점에 측정된 배터리의 제1 전압과 상기 배터리의 방전 과정에서 획득된 상기 배터리의 DCIR(Direct Current Internal Resistance)에 기초하여 상기 배터리의 SOC값을 추정하는 제어부를 포함한다.
