The invention provides a method for estimating the state of charge of a battery, and the method comprises the following steps: S1, obtaining the reference power consumption of a slave control unit of a battery management system connected with the battery, and determining the reference power consumption in an offline manner; s2, acquiring actual working condition information of the slave control unit in an actual operation scene; s3, determining the actual power consumption of the slave control unit based on the reference power consumption of the slave control unit and the actual working condition information; and S4, estimating the state of charge of the battery based on the actual power consumption of the slave control unit. The application also proposes an apparatus for estimating the state of charge of a battery, a battery management system, a battery system, a vehicle and a computer program product.
